Service Description

Whether it is preparing your family with a dog for life with a baby during pregnancy or pre-adoption, dealing with the unpredictability of the mobile baby phase and toddlerhood, or helping kids and canines co-exist, this package is for you. We use simple & effective training and management techniques to calm the chaos, increase the peace, and build bonds over time. After completing your Family Consultation and recorded video programs, we will agree to a custom training plan and determine how many months it will take to accomplish our goals. For every month you sign up for, you will receive 1 hour of "live time" (in-person or Zoom session) and unlimited follow-ups through text, call, email, and shared videos. For each consecutive month you remain in training, you will receive $10 off. This means that your second month is $215, your third is $205, your fourth is $195, and so on, for a maximum discount of $50 per month. Depending on our training goals, we may "front-load" your live sessions (schedule more than one live session per month) and you will retain your unlimited follow-ups for the remaining months. For example, a 6 month package may have 5 of the live sessions completed within the first 3 months, and the 6th live session may be completed in the 5th or 6th month, with unlimited follow-ups throughout the 6 months. You also get one 30 minute Zoom call approximately 6 months after package completion to assess your continual progress and make any changes as needed. During the sessions, we'll focus on teaching safety, relaxation and coping skills, how to use Family Paws® Success Stations (including physical separation such as crates, gates, and pens), and “place” or mat training. We'll also cover whatever your individual family needs help with, which may include stair safety, pulling on leash, and issues such as over-excitability, anxiety-related behaviors, resource guarding, or reactivity on walks. You will receive detailed homework documents and videos to help you practice between live sessions, as well as the recordings of all Zoom sessions. Each client family has a shared Google Doc for notes specific to you where you can also add your own notes/observations and questions for us. Your family is to share videos of your practice through Google Drive or Google Photos and you will receive timestamped feedback to help you see what we see and keep you on track. Sharing videos with us is critical to your success!
