Family Consultation

Service Description

This 1.5 to 2 hour consultation is the first step for growing families and/or families with kids that need (or want) more help with their dogs. Issues that can be addressed may include preparing for the addition of a new baby or child, preparing for the mobile phase of your baby, growling/snapping or other signs of discomfort toward you child, chasing/nipping/mounting, reactivity (barking/lunging) on walks, handling sensitivity, issues with house guests, and other fear or anxiety-related behaviors. After you fill out our New Client Profile, you will receive a custom training plan and we'll get you scheduled for your Family Consultation on Zoom. Before our Zoom session, you will receive two video programs appropriate for your family: The Dial MethodTM AND Family PawsⓇ Dogs & StorksⓇ OR Family PawsⓇ Dogs & ToddlersTM (each a $50 value). Other programs may be substituted for school-aged children. During our consultation, we will cover dog body language and stress signs at length to make sure you truly understand your dog. We will discuss any potential safety issues in the home and how to fix them with simple and thoughtful changes. We will also consider any potential health issues, breed tendencies, and unmet needs that may be contributing to unwanted behaviors. Finally, we will go over your custom training plan, make adjustments as needed, and determine how many months of our Pups & Tots Monthly Membership it will take to accomplish our goals. There, we'll get to the root of any problems, use simple & effective changes, and provide ample support to set your dog and your entire family up for success.
