Have a new puppy who isn’t ready to take classes? A shy dog who needs help gaining confidence? A reactive dog who is a little too much for you to handle? Or maybe your clever dog is just bored while you’re at work and starting to look for trouble. Feeling overwhelmed?
Careful, structured training and socialization, as well as consistent rules for appropriate interaction with dogs and people, are all critical in order for your dog to be well-adjusted and well-behaved for the rest of his or her life. If you have a busy schedule or are just too overwhelmed to do it yourself, Owner-Absent Day Training may be the right option for you. Just like with traditional Private Training, I will meet with you and your dog and create a custom training plan for your dog. I will then come to work with your dog 2 or more times per week for 30 minutes per session.
Your dog will learn behavior concepts quickly with my expert handling, and once they get the hang of the learned behaviors, we schedule periodic “learning transfer” lessons during which I show you how to ask your dog for the given behaviors and then make sure that he understands you as well. Owner-Absent Day Training is only available as an add-on service for traditional In-Home Private Training or Group Classes.
