Dogs and humans are both social creatures and that’s a big part of why group classes are so wonderful! The dogs get to learn to focus on the task at hand while also practicing appropriate social skills, and both the humans and dogs get to make friends. Since all Calmer Canines classes are modular, open-enrollment classes, you also get the benefit of starting when you want and practicing as much as you need to before moving on. All you have to do is attend the appropriate Orientation for the class you’d like to attend (Orientations are offered a minimum of once per month; please check the Calendar), and then you can sign up for which dates you’d like to attend; it’s just slightly more formal than your average drop-in class.
Since dogs have different levels of social skills and behavior needs, there is no one-size-fits-all class. If you are unsure which class your dog would benefit most from, we would be happy to provide a free phone consultation. A hands-on evaluation at the training location (required for Country Club) is free.
